Saleen S5S Raptor

American exotic car maker Saleen is due to unveil their new concept supercar, the S5S Raptor, at the New York Auto Show today. S5S Raptor rumors to be Ferrari killer will comes with more powerful capabilities, a more interesting solution for the design of the body and Ethanol type engine.

The Saleen S5S Raptor concept boasts a supercharged 5.0-litre engine that mounted amidships producing around 650 horsepower and 630 lb-f and maximum torque 854 Nmt. of churn on a steady diet of E85 ethanol. The S5S Raptor can accelerate up to 100km/h in a mere 3.2 seconds.

The S5S Raptor features all the necessary go fast bits such as an aluminium chassis, high performance brake package featuring six-pot calipers lurking behind the five double-spoke 20-inch wheels clamp down on 15-inch rotors up front. It comes with a six-speed manual gearbox and a paddle-shirfting sequential is also in the works. This car production is predicted to be in 2010 and with the price of $185,000. (more…)

2008 Audi R8 TDI Le Mans

Audi invades the world markets for its powerful diesel car, Audi R8 TDI Le Mans. Finished in Brilliant Red paint and Audi R8 TDI Le Mans is nothing more than the recently submitted R8 V12 TDI, just in a specific bright red varnishing and small additions luxury in the cockpit. The car arrives in Geneva with the same impressive spec sheet as its silver counterpart. This car apparently the first 12-cylinder diesel in a high-performance roadgoing sports car, bringing to 500 horsepower and maximum torque of 1000Nm. Acceleration up to hundreds done in just 4.2 seconds and maximum speed of 300km/h.

Porsche GT3 RSR Now Even Better!

Porsche GT3 RSR

Porsche has taken its best racing 911 model and made it even better for 2008, with two of these exclusive, hand-built race cars.

The GT3 RSR, which last year scored GT2 class wins in the Le Mans 24-hour and Nurburgring 24-hour endurance races has received aerodynamic upgrades for the new season.

It has more optimized suspension and a new sequential gearbox, which takes its know-hoe from the Porsche RS Spyder racer. The most distinguishing external feature of the GT3 RSR is the new front end.

Aside from the easily recognizable additional spoilers on the front bumper, called flick, optimised air ducting with newly designed side air outlets generate more downforce and reduce drag.

The rear end, including the rear wing, is straight from the 2007 model. However, changes to the suspension set up now allows more adjustability and superior grip. The normally aspirated 3.6 litre boxer engine of the GT3 RSR remains unchanged, producing a stunning 342KW of power at 8000rpm and 420Nm of torque at 7250rpm

Price set for Porsche GT3 RSR is 349,800 Euro, plus taxes. (more…)

2008 Rolls-Royce unveiled Phontom Coupe

ROLLS-Royce unveiled its new Phantom Coupe at the Geneva Motor Show. Production of the new car will start at Goodwood mid-year.

The Coupe is the most driver-oriented model in the Phantom line. A number of subtle but significant modifications have made it noticeably more dynamic, while still offering incredible levels of comfort.

Marrying cutting-edge technology with a beautifully proportione, muscular body that exudes power and style, it incorporates Rolls-Royce design cues in a contemporary manner. Designed to cover great distances effortlessly, the Coupe is powered by the Phantom’s 6.75 litre V12 that produces about 350kW and 720Nm of torque.

The Phantom Coupe features back-hinged coach doors that considerably ease access to the back lounge seats as well as add to the overall aesthetics. At the core of the Phantom Coupe is an advanced aluminum chassis, perhaps the single most significant component in the delivering the marque’s legendary refinement, Lightweight and exceptionally strong, it impacts positively on ride comfort, handling and safety. Husmen 699 GTO

Students of the Italian school of Industrial Design (IED) presented an unusual concept sports Husmen 699 GTO, where “Husmen” comes from the creator Emre Husmen and 699 GTO of similarity with the model 599 GTB Fiorano and Ferrari 250 GTO.

Generally designers from this school is produced and makes good concept. Take for instance one of their latest developments which has been submitted in Geneva for the new concept of Maserati Chicane car. Regarding Husmen 699 GTO can be said that talking about the production of a prototype already under way. New products will be presented in the same sizes as topical model Ferrari 599, but in full carbon-fiber plating that will bring huge sports. The car is roughly the same size as Ferrari’s 599 but it would weigh around 200kg less because of full carbon-fiber construction. (more…)

KTM X-Bow Dallara 100 units Only

KTM X-Bow Dallara

KTM has officially announced to show the special edition KTM X-Bow Dallara for the first time, a year after the concept debut, at the 78th International Geneva Motor Show. This KTM X-Bow Dallara will be released in limited series of 100 units only.

The special edition KTM X-Bow Dallara features pure black and orange color scheme. The X-Bow’s drivetrain components has been provided by Audi that include an Audi sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged for-cylinder making 240-horsepower. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a six-speed transmission or DSG transmission. According to KTM, it hits 62 mph comes in just 3.9 seconds. Plans for more a powerful engine, with around 300, hp is also in the works. With Brembo as the source of brakes, it may stop the X-Bow from 62 mph in less than 109 feet.

The X-Bow’s only weights 750 kg. In X-Bow’s case, that weight includes the roof, the windshield and all sorts of comfort devices, such as air-conditioning and radio, CD player or any other entertainment device. Price for KTM X-Bow Dallara costs around 55900 euros for the exclusive model X-Bow Dallara and 45850 euros for the usual model. The first model roadster will be available on European road at the end of 2008.

Rinspeed Squba

In Geneva car show, there came a submarine car presented on the aquatic stage. The master-level geniuses at the Swiss fantasy and tuning shop Rinspeed unveiled the sQuba concept. Rinspeed Squba was built on the basis of Lotus Elise sports and it is 3.78 m long, 1.94 m wide and 1.12 m in height and can only fit in two passengers, The sQuba is an all-electric vehicle with three motors, one to drive the car on land and two to power a pair of screw drives for underwater movement. These are aided by two Seabob jet drives that “breathe” through rotating louvers mounted on the car’s fenders and appear to give the car its maneuverability underwater. The Rinspeed sQuba is able to drive on roads without the help of a driver and can go amphibious and dive to a depth of up to 10 meters.

In short this unique car is the perfect car for James Bond, we can see in the next film. (more…)

2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG

At the Geneva Motor Show, they had announced the new Mercedes SL 63 AMG roadster is “dressed” in a distinctive body kit including: an new AMG bonnet, spoiler lip, front apron air outlets and Matt silver painted AMG trim panels with “6.3 AMG” lettering in the front wings. In addition, The 2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG comes with darkened bi-xenon headlamps, darkened tail lights include third brake light, AMG sports exhaust system with two oval twin chromeplated tailpipes and 9-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a new triple-spoke design.

The interior of the 2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG comes equipped with sports seats, a new AMG DRIVE UNIT, ergonomic sports steering wheel and a new instrument cluster. The 2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG’s interior also features carbon-fiber trim elements, brushed stainless steel door sill panels with AMG lettering and nappa leather upholstery. (more…)

Jaguar introduced a new improved version of Jaguar called Jaguar XKR-S, which will be released in a limited series of 200 cars and exclusively sell on the European markets in this summer. Jaguar XKR-S has a powerful and strong 4.2 litre V8 compressor and, at 174mph, is the fastest Jaguar since the XJ220 supercar of the ’90s. The limited-edition version of the supercharged XKR is also the fastest XK ever, thanks to its recalibrate engine management system that helps up the top speed from 155mph.

Bugatti has presented one of the most powerful and elegant cars in the world called Bugatti Veyron Fbg Hermes. The Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès is the brainchild of a collaboration with renowned French fashion powerhouse Hermès in a partnership that stretches back to the 1920s.

Bugatti Veyron Fbg Hermes is built with a special edition model, which the uniqueness is the unique colour of the bonnet, the interior of the cockpit and the rear wing. Also other neat touches include the letter H (for Hermès) on the eight-spoke polished aluminum wheels and air vents around the edges mimicking Hermès’ world famous saddle-stitching technique, and a new grille and Hermes engraved fuel filler door.
