Audi A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro

Audi has released their first official images of their newest concept car before the wraps are taken off at the Lake Wörther Tour in Austria end of this month. The Audi A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro concept is a smaller, racier and with more attainable version of the Audi R8 V12 TDI concept shown in Detroit, with power provided by the highest specific output diesel in the world.
Audi A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro will be using Diesel as fuel itself. Starting with the 2.0-liter direct-injection turbo diesel I-4 available in the European A3, A4 and TT, Audi revised the motor’s induction, exhaust, and fuel injection systems to wring out more power. The engine 1,968cc turbodiesel produces 224 hp and 332 lb.-ft. or 450 Nm of torque available at an oh-so-low 1,750 rpm. Power is sent through a six-speed manual transmission before it reaches the ground through Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. Audi claims that the A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro can reach 0 to 100km/h in 6.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 149 mph or 240km/h.
With the body work, Audi A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro is built around the revamped 2009 A3 three-door, the TDI Clubsport Quattro blends the new car’s styling with that of a DTM series racer. Lowered by 1.3 inches, the Clubsport Quattro concept has a mean stance (1.3 inches in front; 1.8 inches out back), bolt-on fender flares and 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior includes custom racing buckets coddle front passengers, a flat-bottom steering wheel, aluminum trim, toggle switches and a red starter button to get the party underway.
Price for this car has not released yet.
