Cobra Venom V8 Picture

The Cobra Venom V8 is the new British sports car invention with the simple formula: small British roadster and American V8 drive train. Early Cobras sought balance by utilizing Ford’s modest 260 cubic-inch small block V8, but everything went out of control when a hairy-chested 427 cubic inch FE big block was installed. The perennial practice of plucking a significant car from the 1960s and rehashing it, rather than coming up with something entirely new, has struck again, and now it looks like a new spin on the Cobra might be coming. The Cobra Venom V8 will undoubtedly be more refined than the visceral glory of the original Shelby vehicles, and while the concept images show a derivative car, it’s still good looking; classic proportions never go out of style. veyron vs ferrari

This is the funniest car racing news I ever read. According to the thesun news, there was a highway race between a Bugatti Veyron and a Ferrari 599. This incident happened in England, on the M27 motorway. The Bugatti Veyron was leading in the race for the ten minutes before he got pulled over by a BMW police car.

So what exactly happened was the police officer was just sitting in his BMW car with his radar gun, he wasn’t really paying much attention to anything, when suddenly a black thing zooms past him and quickly followed by another black car. Being a policeman, he gave the chase and reaches 140 mph before catching the Bugatti and pulling him over. The Ferrari got away and there’s no plate number was captured and it was impossible to track.

The poor Bugatti owner got three penalty points and a £60 fine, which is about $120 in USD. (more…)

Mercedes tuning specialist Vath has taken the Mercedes C63 AMG which already been worked over by Mercedes’s own in-house tuners, added their own additional special touches to the C63, unveiling an entrant they’re calling the V63RS Clubsport.

The V63RS takes the C-Class platform near its limits with the horsepower of 585hp and 690Nm of torque, an increase of more than 130hp and 90Nm over stock. Extracting another 130hp from the 6.2L V8 after AMG’s engineer’s have done their task, though the addition of a new ECU tune and a more free-flowing intake and exhaust system help the process. Together, they’ll propel you to a top speed of some 202 mph (325km/h), while a limited slip differential with a 60 percent locking rate ensures optimum power transfer to the road.
