New Ford Focus RS exclusive
Ford has released the first teaser photos of the next-generation 2009 Ford Focus RS hatchback. These images, leaked from within Ford, show how the flagship Focus will look when it hits showrooms in the first quarter of 2009.
These pictures were rendered by Ford designers to showcase the features and overall look the ultimate Focus will have. Referring to rumors and gossip, it can be argued that the new Ford Focus RS will be equipped with an 2.5-litre engine with the capacity of approximately 350 horsepower and powering the front wheels.
Ford will equip the RS with an electronically-controlled limited slip differential to distribute torque, making sure the power goes onto the road effectively. Still, what’s causing the stir here is the overall genuineness of the RS package and the explicit detail of it’s design. From the trapezoidal front bumper lower grille, lower headlamp moldings, hood accent lines with vents, fender RS badge and side skirts to the vented rear bumper with diffuser, built-in dual exhausts and roof spoiler. It’s quite convincing.
