2008 Mazda Rx-8

Back in 2003, when Mazda introduced the RX8 sports car, everyone thought it was a successor to the RX7. It was but didn’t have a turbo engine or the same performance as a 7. The new revamp of the Mazdao RX8 has more power, lowering gearing to address the torque deficit and a decent six-speed automatic option with sequential shift replacing the awful four-speeder.

Mazda has increased the model range to include a base model at the price of $32,000, the Luxury and the GT. It is the only mass produced rotary-engine car available. Perhaps the most impressive thing about the new model is the adoption of Mazda MX5’s six-speed transmissions. (more…)

2008 Jaguar X-Type

In its 2008 upgrade of the X-Type compact sedan, Jaguar has added a torquey and economical four-cylinder turbo diesel engine with six-speed sequential automatic transmission.

The 2.2 litre engine is good for 6.9 litre/100km economy and low emissions while offering strong smooth performance. Along with the diesel, the ‘08 X-Type also gets a mild styling makeover with new look bumpers, grille, colours and body hardware. New alloys further life its appearance and there’s are more goodies inside including upgraded Bluetooth conectivity. The interior has also been changed, with the new-look instruments and leather colours among a raft of tweaks to the car. (more…)

2009 Audi RS6 Sedan

Ahead of it’s official debut at the Paris Motor Show, Audi has presented some pictures and it’s official specifications of the new 2009 RS6.

Power comes from the same 5.0 liter twin-turbo V10 engine producing 580 horsepower with a peak torque of 479 lb-ft of torque. All that power meets the road via a 6 speed Tiptronic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive system.

The RS6 boasts an amazingly low power-to-weight ratio of 7.5 lbs per horsepower. That allows new 2009 RS6 for a 0 to 62 mph (0-100kmh) sprint in just 4.5 seconds with a top speed electronically limited to 155mph. However, Audi is offering an option of raising the limit to 174 mph.

Lumma CLR X650 tuning kit for the BMW X6 SAC

Lumma CLR X650 BMW X6 SAC

German tuning studio, Lumma Design, has revealed a preview of its upcoming Lumma CLR X650 body kit for the new BMW X6 SAC. From the teaser image above, the kit lowers the X6’s stance by 40mm (about 1.57inches.) and further decreases the vehicle’s ground clearance with a pair of side skirts. The widened wheel arches will equip with a set of 23-inch performance wheels with black painted rims, and the new front bumper fascia bears 6 huge Porsche Cayenne-style air vents. X6 tuner promises to give a capacity of 650 horsepower for this new modified BMW X6 SAC.

The wait is finally here, Chevrolet has revealed the official details about the recent release of the 2010 Camaro. General Motors will build the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro in mid-February 2009.

The Coupé versions will go on marlet in spring 2009, while the convertible is set to bow in summer. Both will be the 2010 models. According to the GM Design Center in July 2008, the production 2010 Camaro is remarkably similar to the Chevy Camaro Concept—with some interior design cues inspired by the 1969 Camaro. (more…)

2008 JE Design Porsche Cayenne

German tuner, JE Design, is well-known for specializing in VW Group models and now they announced that they will start to include Porsche into their next tuning/modification program. With expertise that already encompasses the VW Touareg and Audi Q7, including the Cayenne was a natural transition, according to JE Design PR.

The new styling program for the Porsche Cayenne (957 model) includes front fascia that gives the SUV a significantly more muscular look, LED daytime running lights to enhance the looks of the vehicle but also crucially improve safety, headlight masks, side sills, extended rear fascia with diffuser styling, “Shark Attack” roof fin and 22-inch wheels. Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport has finally been officially submitted. Bugatti Veyron a topless version of the world’s fastest car, which will give the name Grand Sport. The car will present at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 16 2008 this year.

The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport runs with the 16-cylinder engine which produces 1001 hp a strong W16-unit with maximum torque at 1 250 Nm. With this powerful engine, it enables the new Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport speeds up to a maximum speed of 400 km/h. (more…)

Porsche Boxster S Design Edition 2

Porsche has introduced a limited production version of their new Boxster S called “Porsche Design Edition 2” with a comprehensive list of enhancements which there will be more powerful engine and unique exterior features. This new Boxster S is equipped with the same 303BHP (223 kW) from 3.4-liter boxer engine, eight horsepower more than the respective S models.

The Boxster S Design Edition 2 stands out thanks to the “Carrara White” colour that’s combined with grey stripes. The new Boxster S will equip with the 19-inch SportDesign alloys, the side air intakes, the centre console and the dials on the three round instruments are also finished in white. The white theme is complemented by the grey roof and the black leather interior. (more…)
