Citroen confirms GTbyCitroen Production

Citroen executive, Vincent Besson has confirmed that its auto maker will produce the new GT concept car name the GTbyCitroen at the Geneva Motor Show. The GTbyCitroen will produce in a limited copied of probably 20 units and it made its first appearance in the PS3 platform game named Grand Turismo 5 and its full-scale model displayed at the Paris Motor Show back in October.
If success, the GTbyCitroen would be the first ever car to be produced based on a video game. However Vincent Besson did not reveal further details on a production schedule but the GTbyCitroen power will likely be derived from a V8 which is supplied by either GM or Ford.
The GTbyCitroen full scale measures about 4.960 meters long, 2.080 meters wide and 1.090 meters high and other features include a full race car interior, 21-inches aluminum wheels, LED lights that project information to the driver, gullwing doors and an adjustable spoiler. Since the Turismo game features an electric drivetrain powered by a hydrogen fuel cell but we still don’t know the car will run the exactly the same hydrogen fuel. Stay tuned, as we’ll be keeping our eyes for any further info.
